Zachary Boule is a minor character who appeared in Season 4 of Ugly Betty. He is portrayed by Aaron Tveit.
Biography[]
Before the series[]
Zachary grew up in Jersey. He admits to have lied about his resume mentioning had frequented Oxford for college.
He is known for being a womanizer that dates gossip girls.

Season 4[]
Zachary first appears a sa guest speaker at one of Justin’s theatre classes where Betty happened to be attending to pick up her nephew. His speech on reinvention gets her to desire pitching him for the New York issue at Mode. The idea gets rejected by Wilhelmina but is then given a pass by Daniel to write the piece.
Meeting him at a bar for the interview, encouraged by his discourse on writing impulsive characters, she kisses him. Betty then rushes out of the bar in apologies.
Zachary meets Betty the next day at her office to ask her on a date. After a moment dating in secret in fear that Daniel would find her dating him and consider her unprofessional. When Daniel catches them and confirms to Betty that he wouldn’t be well positioned to judge her, they make their relationship public.
As Zachary is premiering his play, he tells Betty he will be accompanied by his mom. She succeeds attending the play anyway with her media pass, where she catches him accompanied by another gossip girl. When she confronts him about lying to her, he says that he has a reputation to protect. She then punches him in the face, leaving him on the floor of his theatre.
At home, she talks it out with Hilda. : “All this time I thought I was hiding him. But all along he was the one hiding me.”
Zachary comes into her work the next day to apologize formally, ask for a second chance and thank her for the ultimately positive profile she still ended up writing on him. They leave on relative good term.
