Hunter is a minor character on the first season of Ugly Betty. He is portrayed by Teddy Sears.
Biography[]
Hunter was a male stripper whom Sofia Reyes had hired to pretend that he was her perfect boyfriend in order to make Daniel Meade jealous enough to inspire him to propose marriage. Betty Suarez and Christina McKinney learned the truth when they'd seen Hunter working at a club called Boylesque. Ultimately, it was revealed that Sofia was writing a cover story entitled "From Fling to Ring in 60 Days" for the first issue of the new Meade Publications magazine, MYW.
Throughout Ugly Betty[]
Hunter portrayed himself as a talented, successful, wealthy man while he was employed by Sofia as her fake boyfriend. While he does actually potray certain talents, he was in reality a stripper and most of the things he had bragged about were likely fake to make Daniel jealous. After he revealed to Betty and Christina he was hired as a fake boyfriend, he is not seen from again for the remainder of the series.
