Elena Sanchez is a recurring character who appeared on the third and fourth seasons of Ugly Betty.
Biography[]
After Ignacio's heart attack, he was resistant to the scrutiny and criticism from his nurse, Elena; but their mutual animosity quickly turned into passion. Betty and Hilda didn't like the idea of any woman taking their mother's place, but they soon came to realize that their father deserved a chance to find happiness. Eventually, Elena gets a career opportunity at a nursing school in California. Ignacio wants her to marry him, but he realizes that she should do what is best for herself, so he gives her a plane ticket and an engagement ring.
