Daniel Eric Gold


Daniel (born September 19, 1975) is an American theater, TV and movie actor. He is a 2004 recipient of the Lucille Lortel Award for acting in the Craig Lucas Obie winning play, Small Tragedy."

Gold was born in Los Angeles, California, and is the son of Benjamin K. Gold, a biochemist, and Susan E. Gold, an artist and calligrapher. His father was an American of European Jewish descent, and his mother is English. Gold's parents met while working together in Los Angeles. Gold grew up in Los Angeles, and New York's Long Island and Rockland County. He attended Lee Strasberg's Theater Institute as a teenager, and went on to graduate from Penn State in 1996, with a degree in Theater Arts.
